Cleaning removes accumulated deposits from the existing filter, restoring gas flow without needing to replace the part. It's a faster, more economical process that preserves the vehicle's original component. Replacement involves buying a new filter — which can cost between €800 and €3,000 — and is not always necessary. In most cases, professional cleaning solves the problem effectively and durably.
The DPF captures soot particles from diesel exhaust gases. Over time, especially on short urban journeys, it accumulates residues that block flow, causing warning lights, safe mode and increased consumption. Cleaning is recommended when automatic regeneration stops working properly.
The EGR valve recirculates part of the exhaust gases back to the engine to reduce NOx emissions. With use, it accumulates carbon deposits that partially or totally block it, causing power loss, smoking and irregular consumption. Cleaning avoids the costly replacement of the part.
AdBlue is injected into the exhaust to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. When the system fails — due to crystallization, faulty sensor or broken pump — the vehicle enters safe mode with a countdown mileage counter. Without intervention, the vehicle can be completely immobilized.
